Holistic model for nursing practice

Abstract
One of the major problems in nursing theory has been how to Justify, as a profession.
Nursing as care of holistic man provides an answer for this pro blem, for no otl;er health discipline takes the total man as its subject matter.
Holistic man gives nursing a unique health-related subject matter, and therefore, the potential to build a unique body of knowledge. Theologists try to man with holistic approach.
Eventhough basic assumptions are provided and the principles a-re defined, the framework remains an abstract phenomenon.
This stage in the development of nursing science, tools that wi-11 adquately assess human being in their totality are nonexistent. So varying aspects of the principles can be applied to nursing practice in a very limited fashion.
But patients recognize their presence and nursing activity in patient care must sustain the organismic process that are part ofhis striving for wholeness.
Excellent nursing care clearly rests upon participation in the holistic design.
Some researcher applied holistic model to nursing practice.
But in the future, holistic model that is applied to clinic nursing must study more detail
